Letter dated 22 November 1833 from George Barker overseer of the poor of the township of Ilton cum Pott in Masham to John Watts Lupton acting overseer for St Olave, Marygate, York. Barker is surprised that Lupton has written for more money. They consider that Jane Hall is tenant of the house she lives in, and the furniture in it must belong to her. They think that the furniture will defray the expense of Jane Hall's funeral, and they have been at a great deal of trouble and expense with her at different times. They hope her two sons will not put them to any more trouble |
