Description | Notice dated 6 October 1834 given by Michael Cooper to the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the township of Faceby, and to John Liefe esquire, William Hunton, William Goulsber otherwise called William Goldsbrough, Thomas Stephenson, John Gent, William Hugill, Samuel Kitching, John Flintoff, Thomas Thompson, Isabella Wynn, Charles Reeve esquire, Richard Appleton the younger, Mary Hall and William Lowder. Cooper intends to appeal at the next Quarter Sessions against a poor rate assessment, on the grounds that the individuals named are underrated, and he (Cooper) has been overrated.
