TitlePapers relating to the removal of Sarah Metcalfe and her son
DescriptionOrder dated 25 October 1834 for the removal of Sarah Metcalfe and her son John aged about 9 weeks from the township of Sproxton to the township of Bilsdale Midcable

Notice dated 15 December 1834 from the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the township of Bilsdale Midcable. They intend to appeal at the next Quarter Sessions against the order for the removal of Sarah Metcalfe and her son on the grounds that Metcalfe was hired to serve John Barr of Bilsdale Midcable from the day after Martinmas 1832 for a year and again after Martinmas 1833, except for two days in each year when she could go to Sproxton Feast, and therefore her settlement was not in Bilsdale Midcable as she did not serve a full year there

Bill of expenses dated 7 January 1835 for keeping Sarah Metcalfe from 29 October to 26 November 1834 and for taking her from Sproxton to Northallerton
