DescriptionNotice dated 19 December 1834 given by the overseers of the poor of the township of Bellerby to John Plant. They intend to apply at the next Quarter Sessions for a maintenance order against him as father of the bastard son of Mary Calvert of Bellerby daughter of Thomas Calvert late of Bellerby and now of Hetton Colliery in county Durham. The child was born on 16 October 1834

Paper to move at the Christmas Sessions [1835] on behalf of the churchwardens and overseers of Bellerby for an affiliation order against John Plant. Plant is a journeyman carpenter living at Hetton in county Durham, and is father of the bastard son of Mary Calvert of Bellerby daughter of Thomas Calvert late of Bellerby and now of Hetton Colliery in county Durham. The child was born on 16 October 1834 and has become chargeable to the township of Bellerby
