The parties have known each other all their lives. In about March 1834 Mary Harland, Baker's sweetheart, died, and after that an intimacy was formed between the parties. At Martinmas 1834, Baker found that Abraham was pregnant and left her. Through ill health, Abraham could not attend the last Sessions.
