Application made at the Michaelmas Sessions 1835 by the township of Harmby for a maintenance order against Thomas Hall as father of the bastard son of Elizabeth Kell of Catterick singlewoman and pauper belonging to Harmby. Hall worked as a stonemason for Mr Lawson at Brough. The pair had a previous acquaintance which was renewed in July 1834 and led to the birth of the child on 31 May 1835.
