Description | Summary conviction of Thomas Scarr of Northallerton labourer for refusing to appear at court to give evidence in the case against Nathaniel Beaumont collector of tolls at Entercommon Toll Bar. The case was brought by Stephen Wood the younger of Romanby labourer, and Beaumont was accused of allowing Scarr through the toll bar without paying. Scarr had been summoned and had been paid for his expenses
