Description | Bill of indictment of William Wilson late of the House of Correction at Northallerton labourer
Wilson was employed by William Smith, John Whalley and Henry Cowap as a printer. A record of the quantity of printing ordered was kept by both employer and employee, and Wilson was paid according to the entry in his record book. Wilson recorded an order for the printing of nine dozen articles as 19 dozen and so obtained 3s 11/2d wages from Henry Charlton, who paid the wages for Smith, Whalley and Cowap, for ten dozen articles which he did not print
