- copy order dated 11 July 1842 for the removal of George Windross, Ann Windross his wife, and their children John aged 5 years and Elizabeth aged 3 years, from the township of Bagby to the township of Thirlby. The order was suspended as George Windross was sick and unable to travel. Includes:
- settlement examination of George Windross now residing at Bagby dated 5 July 1842. He married his wife Ann in August 1836 at Kirby Knowle and has two children, John aged 5 years and Elizabeth aged 3 years. He and his family are chargeable to and relieved by the township of Bagby. He was hired by Charles Robinson of Easterside farmer as his servant from Martinmas to Martinmas for six successive years from 1824, living at the farm called Banniscue for the whole time, except for the last three months of the last year, which were spent on his master's farm at Thirlby. He served with Mr Calvert at Sutton from Martinmas 1835 to Martinmas 1836, and has done nothing to gain a settlement elsewhere
