- Mary Trowsdale. Inquest held at Whitby on 17 December 1847. Verdict: debility caused by extreme old age
- Mary Hunt. Inquest held at Whitby on 26 January 1848. Verdict: accidental death by burning
- Elizabeth Pearson. Inquest held at Whitby on 31 January 1848. Verdict: being lunatic, hanged herself
- Mary Taylor. Inquest held at Fylingdales on 10 February 1848. Verdict: died by the visitation of God - immediate cause unknown
- Charles Wilson Johnson. Inquest held at Whitby on 15 February 1848. Verdict: died by the visitation of God of convulsion fits
- Joseph Rhodes. Inquest held at Whitby on 12, 18 and 29 February 1848. Verdict: justifiable homicide by a gun shot wound in the right leg received on the second day of February 1848, followed by mortification supervening on the 4th day of February 1848, within 37 hours afterwards |
