With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions for the city of York held at the Guildhall in York on 7 April 1845 of George Scruton for stealing five ducks, the property of William Bowman, at the parish of St Saviour in the city of York. Scruton was sentenced to hard labour in the House of Correction at York for two calendar months. Certificate dated 21 June 1848
