Description | Bill of indictment of William Wiley late of the parish of Cayton labourer for obtaining £1 8s by deception. Wiley had falsely pretended to William Gray the younger Secretary of the York and North Midland Railway Company that he was authorised by the overseers of the poor of the township of Lebberston to receive £1 8s which was owed to them as poor rate for land belonging to the Railway Company
