On 20 October 1846 Blamire had been convicted before two Justices for taking game with nets and snares at night at the township of Barningham on 19 October 1846. He was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Northallerton for three calendar months, and on release was to make a recognizance for good behaviour
On 7 August 1850 Blamire was again convicted before two Justices for taking game with a net at night at the parish of Startforth on 4 September 1847. He was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Northallerton for six calendar months and on release was to make another recognizance for good behaviour
