With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions for the East Riding held at Beverley on 1 July 1850 of William Bennett late of the township of Bridlington labourer for stealing one waistcoat value 1s, the property of William Scott. Bennett was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Beverley for three calendar months. Certificate dated 29 June 1855



With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions for the borough of Scarborough held at Scarborough on 10 December 1853 of William Bennett late of the parish of Scarborough labourer for stealing one draining tool value 5s, the property of Peter Russell on 8 November 1853 at Scarborough. Bennett was sentenced to hard labour at the gaol at Northallerton for nine calendar months. Certificate dated 30 June 1855
