With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 5 April 1853 of Thomas Harland late of the House of Correction at Northallerton for stealing one circular brush, the property of John Brown on 26 February 1853. Harland was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Northallerton for one day. Certificate dated 2 July 1855
