DescriptionLetter from John Smith at Middlesbrough to T.T. Trevor esquire. He thinks he is unlikely to attend as a juryman at Northallerton, as he is within a month of being 60 years old, and at this severe season, he will be running a great risk to his health. His wife is ill and is unable to attend to his business. He has attended York and Northallerton on four occasions as a juryman, and asks to be excused attendance this time
