Boyds was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Northallerton for three calendar months. Certificate dated 7 April 1856



With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions for county Durham held at Durham on 15 October 1849 of Mary Boyds late of the parish of Darlington in county Durham singlewoman for stealing one handkerchief value 6d, the property of James Holt Clifford, on 8 October 1849. Boyds was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Durham for six calendar months. Certificate dated 31 March 1856
