DescriptionLetter from John Meek high constable at Knayton to Mr Trevor. He is very poorly, and the pain in his head is so intense that he cannot bear the motion of a carriage. It is too far for him to walk to Northallerton as he is in his 80th year. He has been high constable for 40 years and only been absent from the Sessions once, with permission. His neighbour John Sadler will attend the court with a doctor's certificate
