With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 18 October 1864 of William Cooke late of the House of Correction at Northallerton for breaking into the dwelling house of Christopher Newton in the township of Birkby and stealing one coat, one waistcoat, four shawls, one pair of sleeves, one flannel petticoat, and seven silver spoons, the property of the said Christopher Newton. Cooke was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Northallerton for six calendar months. Certificate dated 3 January 1866 |
