With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions for the East Riding held at Beverley on 18 October 1864 of John Wheldon for stealing 5s, the property of Staveley Wallgate. Wheldon, who had previously been convicted of larceny at the Town Hall in New Malton on 26 March 1864, was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction for the East Riding for six calendar months. Certificate dated 10 April 1866
