With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 15 October 1861 of John Sheridan late of the House of Correction at Northallerton for receiving two stolen chairs, the property of Richard Broughton. Sheridan, who had previously been convicted of felony on 1 January 1861, was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Northallerton for 12 calendar months.
