With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions for the West Riding held at Sheffield on 1 December 1865 of William Brown late of Wakefield in the West Riding, Robert Thompson, William Field and Samuel Craven for stealing five pounds weight of mutton, the property of George Greensmith, at the parish of Sheffield on 26 October 1865. Brown was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Wakefield for six calendar months. Certificate dated 29 September 1866
