Description | Depositions dated 14 March 1873 of Francis Dickson of Easingwold surveyor, Thomas Clark of Crayke assistant overseer of the poor, Octavius Robinson gentleman and John Wesley Smith, both of Easingwold, relating to the diversion of a public footway partly in the parish of Crayke and partly in the township of Easingwold beginning at a farmhouse called Half Way House in the parish of Crayke and ending at a green lane leading into Wind Mill Lane in the township of Easingwold; containing references to:
a) the plan of a proposed new highway betwixt Easingwold and Crayke dated 1873 b) a notice that a vestry meeting of the inhabitants of the parish of Crayke will be held on 16 January 1873 to give authority to the waywarden to apply to the Justices to view a footway leading from Crayke to Easingwold c) a resolution of the vestry meeting of the inhabitants of Crayke on 16 January 1873 agreeing to the above proposal d) a notice that a vestry meeting of the inhabitants of the township of Easingwold will be held on 17 January 1873 to give authority to the waywarden to apply to the Justices to view a footway leading from Crayke to Easingwold e) resolutions of the vestry meeting of the inhabitants of Easingwold on 17 January 1873 agreeing to the diversion of a footway and to the above proposal f) a resolution of the vestry meeting of the inhabitants of Crayke on 16 January 1873 agreeing that a footway which begins at the farmhouse called Halfway House and ends at the crossing of the Haverwits Brook at the boundary of the parish should be diverted; with instructions to the waywarden to apply to the Justices to view the footway g) a resolution of the vestry meeting of the inhabitants of Easingwold on 17 January 1873 agreeing that a footway leading from Crayke to Easingwold should be diverted; with instructions to the waywarden to apply to the Justices to view the footway h) a printed notice from the waywardens for Crayke and Easingwold that application is to be made to the Justices at the next Quarter Sessions for an order to divert the footpath i) a copy of the York Herald dated 15 February 1873 containing a notice relating to the diversion of the footpath j) a copy of the York Herald dated 22 February 1873 containing a notice relating to the diversion of the footpath k) a copy of the York Herald dated 1 March 1873 containing a notice relating to the diversion of the footpath l) a copy of the York Herald dated 8 March 1873 containing a notice relating to the diversion of the footpath
