With certificate of conviction by two Justices of the Peace at the borough of Gateshead in county Durham on 6 September 1872 of John Gibbons, Thomas Gibbons, James Young and Thomas Dunn for stealing 14 hundredweight and two quarters of iron value £5, the property of George Elliott and partners, at the parish of Gateshead on 29 August 1872. John Gibbons and James Dunn were sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Durham for six calendar months, and Thomas Gibbons and James Young were sentenced to hard labour for four calendar months.
