With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions for the borough of Grantham held on 6 February 1878 of John Rogers otherwise called William Whitworth for obtaining by false pretences from John Harrison one central fire breach loading double barrel gun, one gun case, and 106 cartridges value together £37 12, the property of the said John Harrison on 30 May 1877. Rogers/Whitworth was sentenced to hard labour in the common gaol at Grantham for 18 months. Certificate dated 21 June 1881
