With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 5 January 1864 of Hannah Marsay for stealing one pair of boots and one shawl, the property of Hannah Wilson, at the township of Whitby on 21 November 1863. Marsay was sentenced to hard labour at the House of Correction at Northallerton for one calendar month and then was to be sent to a reformatory and industrial school for five years.
