George Campbell had previously been convicted of felony at the Petty Sessions for the borough of Stockton held at Stockton on 12 September 1883

Dryden had previously been convicted of felony at the Assizes for county Durham held at Durham on 28 February 1876

With certificate of conviction at the Assizes and General Gaol Delivery for county Durham held at Durham on 28 February 1876 of John Dryden for breaking into the dwelling house of Elizabeth Adamson at the parish of Bishop Auckland in county Durham at 11 o'clock at night on 24 December 1875, and stealing 16s in money, several bottles of spirits, one dark lamp and a piece of roast beef, the property of the said Elizabeth Adamson. Dryden was sentenced to penal servitude for eight years. Certificate dated 1 January 1884



With certificate of conviction at the Petty Sessional court for the borough of Stockton held at Stockton on 12 September 1883 of George A. Campbell of Stockton for stealing 15 feet of leather belting value £1, the property of the Stockton Malleable Iron Company Limited, at the borough of Stockton on 8 September 1883. Campbell was sentenced to hard labour at the prison at Durham for two calendar months. Certificate dated 29 December 1883
