With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 17 October 1882 of Thomas Harland for breaking into the dwelling house of Francis Bellwood and stealing bread, bacon, beef and cheese value 2s, the property of the said Francis Bellwood, at the township of Thornton le Moor on 17 September 1882. Harland, who had a previous conviction for felony, was sentenced to hard labour at the prison at Northallerton for 12 calendar months. Certificate dated 10 October 1884
