Certificate of conviction at the Petty Sessional court for the borough of Middlesbrough held at Middlesbrough on 23 December 1885 of John Davis of the borough of Middlesbrough labourer for stealing 13 machine brasses value £5, the property of the Tees Iron and Engine Works Company Ltd on 21 June 1885. Davis was sentenced to hard labour at the prison at Northallerton for six calendar months. Certificate dated 2 January 1888



Certificate of conviction at the Petty Sessional court for the borough of Stockton held at Stockton on 10 August 1887, of James Murphy alias Thomas Mullen of Stockton for stealing one pair of trousers value 3s 6d, the property of Arthur Sutton on 9 August 1887. Murphy/Mullen was sentenced to hard labour at the prison at Durham for one calendar month. Certificate dated 30 December 1887
