Bradley had previously been convicted of felony at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 29 June 1886

Webster had previously been convicted of felony at the Assizes and General Gaol Delivery for the Winter Assize County number three held at York of 5 November 1887

With certificate of conviction at the Quarter Sessions held at Northallerton on 29 June 1886 of Thomas Bradley for wounding two cows, the property of Thomas Lowther the elder. Bradley, with a previous conviction for felony, was sentenced to be imprisoned at the prison at Northallerton for ten days, and afterwards to be sent to a reformatory school for five years. Certificate dated 13 October 1888



With certificate of conviction at the Assizes and General Gaol Delivery held at the Castle of York on 5 November 1887 of Thomas Webster for breaking into the counting house of the North Eastern Railway Company and stealing 12s 9d, the property of the said Company, on 11 October 1887 at Patrick Brompton, after a previous conviction for felony. Webster was sentenced to be imprisoned at the prison at York Castle for 14 days, and afterwards to be sent to a reformatory for five years. Certificate dated 15 October 1888
