With certificate of conviction at the Assizes and General Gaol Delivery held at the Castle of York on 29 January 1887 of Jabez Pickering for breaking into the dwelling house of Jacob Bell at Marton at night on 10 December 1886, and stealing one overcoat, the property of John Robert Sharp, and a pair of boots and a black felt hat, the property of John Walker. Pickering, with a previous conviction for felony, was sentenced to hard labour in the prison at York Castle for eight calendar months. Certificate dated 29 September 1888 |
