With certificate of conviction at the General Session of Gaol Delivery at Newgate held at the Old Bailey in the suburbs of the City of London on 23 April 1888 of James Williams for uttering a counterfeit florin to Mary Ann Shellsbear knowing it to be false. Williams was sentenced to hard labour in the House of Correction at Wandsworth for nine calendar months. Certificate dated 24 June 1889
