And reciting the Settlement of 19 November 1638 to John Sydenham and his heirs [see No. 911 above] and that the fine was levied Thomas Lord Coventry and Thomas Coventry - querents Thomas Posthumus Hoby - deforciant
of the manor of Hackness, 250 messuages, 250 tofts, six mills, three dovecots, 250 gardens, 2200 acres land, 1000 acres meadow, 2050 acres pasture, 300 acres woods, 3050 acres furze and heath, 2000 acres moor, 100 acres rushes, 500 acres marsh, 300 acres willows and 78s 1ad rents in Hackness, Silpho, Suffield, Everly, Hackness Dale, Harwooddale, Broxey, Burniston, Hutton Bushell, Ayton And the recotory of Hackness
to uses as specified in settlement
