Description | Consent of the inhabitants of Burniston to there being a wall or dike between the lordship of Hackness and the lordship of Scalby, all along Suffield and Silpho browes as the bounder is there, one half to be made by lordship of Hackness, and the other half by lordship of Scalby They also agree to make and uphold forever a proportion according to their tenants of the dike, and that there shall be a pain of [blank] against every inhabitant that does not so make up his part and a similar pain against every inhabitant not repairing his portion etc
