TitleHalf of a map of the manor of Hackness
DescriptionHalf of an elaborately coloured map of the Manor of Hackness evidently originally made on four membranes of parchment of which two survive shewing areas of land marked Harwood Dale freeholds as well as closes which are part of the estate and which are numbered and named, bounded on one side by the River Derwent and on another by Hackness High Moors. Half of the title remains: "A map of the Manour o... ... according to the new regulation of the said..."
Membrane 1 measurers 38 x 32 ins and is endorsed in 19th century hand "1709 Morrha Heads, Barnscliffe, High Dales and part of Wisperdale by Mr Dickinson"
Membrane 2 measures 38 x 28.5 ins and is endorsed "1709 Harwood Dale from Morrha Heads to west part of Thomas Leadlay's Farm by Mr Dickinson"
