Having read in the newspapers, Euryalus is fitting for the Med ittaranean (sic), I am eager to offer to you my complement on that appointment knowing, as I do it was your only wish I shall be obliged to you to give me your news when you will be arrived on that station, and if some Happy Event happens to you If Wemyse Georman (?) and Baker (?) are always with you I beg you to make to them my kind remembrances as well to Mr Williams. I am very sorry to have not couldobtain anything for him I suppose Mr Ricketts is no more with you having seen his promotion in the Navy List. The Duchess makes to you her best complements.
