TitleOrder by Sir Charles Cotton, Admiral of the White and Commander in Chief in the Mediterranean to Captain Dundas on HMS Euryalus
DescriptionProceed along with HMS Impereuse, whose Captain is placed under Dundas’ command, to Cape St Sebastian and there make a sweep round the Gulf of Cette to Cape Croisette for observing and intercepting enemy convoys bound for Barcelona. Expect to meet there Captain Stuart on HMS Blossom from whom take messages for Captain Campbell of HMS Unite and despatch HMS Impereuse with the same for Captain Campbell off Cape Sicie with direction for Captain Duncan to place himself under Captain Campbell’s command. HMS Euryalus thereafter to take up a position south of Marseilles and cruise there in support of Captain Stuart in HMS Blossom, intercepting enemy shipping approaching that port from the south. HMS Euryalus to remain so for 1 month and then rejoin Admiral Cotton at the appointed rendevous
