Messuage and oxgang as follows:— close of pasture called Ox Close, 10 acres; in a close called the Wandells, 4 acres of meadow; in a close called the Horse Ings, 6 acres of meadow; in the town field called the Church Field, 8 acres of arable; in the west field 4 acres 1 rood of arable; and in the moor field 7 acres 3 roods of arable all in Marske, lately occuppied by Joseph Rodgers, with all commons etc

Rent: £31 and 4 fat hens at Christmas


Covenants include penalty of additional £5 rent for every acre of ground converted to tillage in addition to what is already ploughed without leave, provision for grinding corn at the Lord’s Mill and payment by lessor of all assessments for taxes apart from Church poor and constable assessments and chimney money
