- a new born male child. Inquest held at Hawsker on 15 September 1834, adjourned to Hawsker on 16 September 1834 and adjourned to Whitby on 17 September 1834. Verdict: willful murder

- Michael Slater. Inquest held at Fair Head on 12 October 1834. Verdict: accidental death

- Jonathan Garbutt. Inquest held at Sleights on 22 October 1834. Verdict: died by the visitation of God

- Hannah Craggs. Inquest held at Whitby on 6 November 1834. Verdict: found drowned
