- notice given by James Terry of his intention to dedicate to the use of the public, a road in the township of Brompton on Swale beginning 92 yards and 1 foot on the east side of the centre of the bridge over Skeeby Beck, and extending easterly for 232 yards, and being 32 feet in width, and containing two roods and two perches
- certificate dated 21 September 1886 of two Justices that they have viewed the highway made by James Terry and others in the township of Brompton on Swale, and have found that it has been made in a substantial manner
- certificate dated 2 October 1886 of John Hodgson district surveyor of the Richmond Highway District that he has viewed the highway made by James Terry and others in the township of Brompton on Swale, and has found that it has been made in a substantial manner
- undated draft order to enrol the certificate, as it has been read in open court, and no appeal has been made
- letter dated 2 October 1886 from Alfred T. Rogers solicitor at Richmond to W.C. Trevor the Clerk of the Peace at Northallerton enclosing the two certificates. A vestry meeting had been held, where the inhabitants of the parish passed a resolution that the highway was of sufficient utility to justify its repair at the expense of the parish |
